  1. Is it the same price for 1 reindeer as it is for 2 reindeer? Reindeer are sociable animals and live in herds so we never bring just one lone reindeer to any job. This would cause distress and so we always work with 2 or more together.

  2. Are handlers provided? Yes. Always. Our handlers are competent and experienced and are dressed in red and white Christmas costumes that complement our reindeer display and help to give a real Christmas feel to your event.

  3. Are the reindeer tame and used to being on display? Yes. They are well trained and enjoy their trips out. They are friendly and well behaved and appear to enjoy the change of environment.

  4. Do the reindeer pull the sleigh? No. The sleigh is very heavy and it would take a number of reindeer to pull it. It is decorated for display only although the public can sit in it and this provides a great photo opportunity.

  5. Are the reindeer insured for public liability? Yes. We are fully insured and licensed to keep and transport our animals. Copies of all of these documents are made available to you upon booking.

  6. Can the public touch the reindeer? Yes the public are invited to feed lichen to the reindeer. Our Christmas handlers always carry a basket of lichen so that people can offer this treat to the animals if they wish. Supervision is constant.

  7. Can the reindeer be brought out on a parade? Our reindeer are lively and we will only walk them for short distances. They are always led by the trained handlers. Please be aware that reindeer have large antlers and so we prefer to keep the reindeer within an enclosure to ensure the safety of all concerned.

  8. Do we have to set up the display and take it down? No. We do all of that work so it causes you minimum disruption. Our staff are skilled at what they do and work quickly to erect your display and to take it down at the end of the event.

  9. Will there be a mess to clear up afterwards? There is nothing for you clear away at all.

  10. How much notice do we need to give you to book the reindeer? As much notice as possible. Some people book a whole year in advance. Please remember that the reindeer season is very short-generally November and December, so we are very busy during this time.

  11. How and when do we have to pay? We always ask for payment in full prior to the event and your payment prompts the despatch of all of the necessary paperwork and documentation that confirms all details of the booking and of our insurances and licences that you will need to operate safely and within the law.

  12. What happens if it is raining or we have to cancel? Once paid for your event will go ahead regardless of the weather. Many displays are indoors and our reindeer are well protected outside by the gazebo that sits within their enclosure.
